For school-aged children (average 5 to 16 years)
As a parent of school-aged children, you need a plan to fill those awkward care gaps during the holidays.
Leaving your child in safe hands
The majority of holiday clubs you'll find on our website have been used and recommended by individual parents. If there's a local club you would like to be able to use that isn't already registered, please complete our nomination form, and we'll contact them about joining.
Holiday clubs booked through School Holiday Cover are regulated by Ofsted or BAHA and have received a "satisfactory" rating.
Access to over 800 fun packed holiday clubs
Get ahead and take advantage of fun activities and local, trusted childcare with our school holiday clubs through Back-Up Care. Book early to avoid disappoint!
Preparing for life's little emergencies
Instead of a mad rush whenever the school holidays roll around, registered parents often take the time to research their available clubs prior to booking. Registered parents can:
- Search for their local holiday clubs
- Save favourite clubs for future reference
- Suggest other holiday clubs you'd like to join
- Book a holiday club place when it's needed

Using your preferred holiday club
If your usual club isn't already on our website it's free for them to join and take bookings, and there are many benefits.
We've found that if you've already spoken to them about School Holiday Cover, and let them know you want to use us to book - then they're far more receptive about joining.
Please visit our nomination form and provide us the details of the provider you wish to join our network, and we will contact them on your behalf.
Additional costs
In addition to the daily (or half day rate), many clubs offer optional additional services - some of which incur a charge. Some sites will offer a lunch service, or you can send your child with a packed lunch. Every camp and site will vary in their options.
Extended days: Generally clubs will run a standard day (e.g. 9am to 5pm), and an extended day service (e.g. 8.30am to 6pm). Every club will vary, but this greater flexibility will often be a great help to working parents - or to parents whose children want even more activity time at the site!
Academies: Many sites offer specialised 'academies' in addition to the daily cost. These academies typically run for a week, alongside the typical camp day. On average the cost for an academy is an additional £25 per week. If your child is interested in football, then maybe a football academy would be ideal. Alternatively, many sites offer sports academies, water sports, maybe arts/dance/drama related - the list goes on! If a club offers it, you can book it as an optional extra.
Please note. The bp contribution to your childcare costs will clearly be shown when you book.
